St John's Primary School

Working at St John's

Would you like to join the team at St John’s? According to Ofsted (2014): "The school’s inclusive culture promotes pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. The school is a happy and lively community."

At the end of key stage 2, in 2017, pupils’ progress in reading, writing and mathematics was well above the national averages, according to Ofsted’s 2017 report.

“There is enough evidence of improved performance to suggest that the school could be judged outstanding if we were to carry out a graded (section 5) inspection now." (Ofsted February 2023) Read the latest Ofsted report HERE.

"Ofsted (May 2024) judged the school Outstanding in all areas, noting that “pupils flourish in this nurturing and safe environment” and that there is “a culture of aspiration based on the very highest expectations.” Inspectors highlighted our “exceptionally rich and ambitious curriculum,” “exemplary behaviour,” and leaders who have created “an ambitious culture that puts pupils’ learning at the centre of everything the school does.” Read the latest Ofsted report HERE
